At the heart of England where ancient counties

meet, a beautiful terrestrial zodiac lies hidden – the

Malvern Zodiac - a circle of ancient constellations

carved into the landscape by the first post-glacial

inhabitants of this land more than 10,000 years ago.

It is obscured from the modern world by its enormous

size and most of the surviving graphic outlines now form

the roads, footpaths, waterways and field boundaries of  a

21st century agricultral landscape.

The Malvern Zodiac is the source of legends – a unique design that

preceded the zodiac that we all know today. It opens a window into the

dark and distant past of our ancestors and, when compared to historical

documents, holds ramifications that will send shockwaves through the dusty corridors of church and academia.

My aim is to interpret and explain the celebrated stories, legends and epics of history in their original format, graphic allegory – artistic images and shapes that can be used to generate  a multitude of various items and differing characters. By comparing text to graphics I am able to decypher the true meanings behind ancient literature, thereby using the Malvern Zodiac as it was used by our well-travelled storytelling ancestors thousands of years ago.

Important facts relevant to tribal history, such as names, locations, geography and time-lines, were originally woven into simple repetitive and rhythmical verse, and from these early narratives wondrous tales of fantasy were created. In all of the stories each character or constellation was referenced so that the complete monologue verbally mirrored the annual journey of the Sun around the ecliptic circle. This method of memory retention and recall - imaginative storylines produced from a random series of numbers and images (such as a deck of cards), is still used successfully today.

As time progressed and the written word evolved the stories became more intricate - the simplicity that generated the Sumerian Epic of Gilgamesh (the world’s first authored literature) was expanded into the complicated interactions and characterisations found in the various gods, religions and literature of the Middle East and Mediterranean - including Egyptians, Greeks and Romans - but the unique singular source remained constant, it was always the ancient design of the MALVERN ZODIAC.

Through time the inconvenient truth behind the “mystery,”  the fact that it had originated  in the fields of Britain, was concealed, retained and jealously guarded by a series of storytelling priesthoods - control of such knowledge guaranteed

positions of privileged status.  With unwarranted power they  were able to influence monarchs,

governments and citizens alike, becoming oracles, decision-makers, social manipulators and,

more importantly, the earthly go-betweens from this life to the next. They became the

unelected moralistic gate-keepers and spokesmen for the gods of the starry firmament.

They could not be questioned or disobeyed for fear of heavenly retribution. It is

remarkable how  little has changed since the Sumerian villagers gathered around

the old storyteller to hear about King Gilgamesh.
